Chen’s thoughts on using technology in class

So far as I’m concerned, I have used some computer connected technologies in classroom teaching. For example, I used audio-video files for thought-provoking, or to create a language task, mp3 files for practicing listening comprehension, etc. the function of using technology in class, I think, is to help with teaching and learning, but it can’t replace teaching and learning. It’s like a tool that we use to achieve a goal. Teachers use technology for better explanation and illustration, students use technology for comprehensible learning.

  1. It sounds like you already do a great job of using technology to enhance your classroom. I like your idea of slowing down mp3 files to help students improve their listening skills.
